Hello, my name is Dr. Tracey Smith, PhD, MS-MHC

Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained, So Keep Moving!

A Bit About Me

Over the past 10 years, my background has consisted of working with various demographics, such as individuals, at-risk youth, and families in residential, shelters, foster care, schools, military, community, and home settings. I  have counseled pre-marital/marriage and divorce. I utilize integrative therapeutic modalities and settings in individual, family, and group therapy in combination with Mindfulness, Guided Imagery, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Client-Centered approaches. I am trained in Seeking Safety (SS), which is a model that helps individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders (trauma, substance abuse, etc). Tracey has worked with clients who have experienced PTSD, trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and anger issues.

My belief is that the chief cornerstone of working with individuals and families collaboratively is to change patterns of thinking and behaviors. In a session, she will provide you with a professional and safe environment for your needs and overall wellness while encouraging you to take steps and become “unstuck”. I specialize in working with individuals aged 16 and older, recognizing the importance of tailored mental health care for young adults.

I am a Christian and I use biblical principles in combination with evidenced-based counseling techniques during my sessions. I have a Doctorate in Biblical Studies and I am a Certified Chaplain.
