Hello, my name is Jannah Islam, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

"You are allowed to grow, heal, and become, all at your own pace."
A Bit About Me
My name is Jannah Islam and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern completing my practicum and Internship I and II at this site while pursuing a master's degree at Neumann University. Taking an integrative, person-centered–informed approach as I am committed to creating a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to express themselves authentically. I am interested in working with children, adolescents, and diverse age groups, working with individuals ages 4+. Some of my values are collaboration in the therapeutic process, striving to meet clients where they are while supporting growth, insight, and emotional well-being. I will be working under the supervision of a licensed clinician and I am dedicated to ongoing learning and professional growth as I continue to develop my skills as a counselor-in-training.
