A Bit About Me

Karen Friday Randall is a doctoral student in Psychology, with a research focus on motivation, resilience, and life satisfaction among adults aged 50 and older. Karen’s academic interests include self-determination theory, meaning-making, and the psychological factors that support purposeful aging. With approximately 10 years of direct experience supporting seniors, autistic adults, and low-income families, Karen applies evidence-based, client-centered approaches to promote mental health, growth, and well-being. A committed advocate for adult learning and psychological wellness, Karen seeks to advance inclusive support systems for aging populations while challenging outdated views of aging and productivity.
