A Bit About Me

Carrie Prytherch-Maassen, MA, LPCMH, LCPC is an experienced clinician, advocate, and doctoral candidate in Sexual and Gender Fluidity, specializing in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. With 6 of experience in the mental health field, Carrie is passionate about fostering clinical excellence through collaborative, supportive supervision.

Carrie has worked extensively with LGBTQ+ clients and communities, with a particular focus on asexual and gender-diverse individuals. Her approach to supervision is grounded in a commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical practice. She creates a space where clinicians feel empowered to grow, reflect, and deliver affirming care to diverse populations.

In her leadership roles, Carrie has led clinical training initiatives and supported program development across outpatient and community-based settings. Her style is warm, transparent, and focused on building strong foundations of trust, professional development, and client-centered care.

Currently completing her doctorate in Sexual and Gender Fluidity, her research explores discrimination and erasure within the LGBTQ+ community, bridging clinical work with advocacy and scholarship. Carrie brings a thoughtful, research-informed perspective to supervision and is dedicated to shaping the next generation of inclusive mental health professionals.
