Creating Change and Uncovering Strength
Hello, my name is Leo Ward, LMSW

A Bit About Me
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminology, with minors in Forensic Psychology and Social Work, from George Mason University in 2021. I then pursued my Master’s in Social Work at West Chester University, where I began my clinical practice. I hold an LMSW and am actively working toward my LCSW.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive space rooted in the sanctuary model, welcoming individuals and families from all walks of life. My approach includes alternative, creative interventions such as therapeutic art, play, and sand tray, recognizing that everyone heals in their own unique way. I also incorporate evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and narrative therapy, tailoring each session to meet my clients’ needs.
I specialize in working with children, families, trauma, dissociation, gender identity, sexuality, ADHD, and Autism. I am honored to support individuals, couples, families, and adults of all ages, starting as young as age four.
My lived experience as a queer individual deeply informs my work and fuels my passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community. With a shortage of queer and trans therapists, I am committed to helping bridge that gap and empowering my clients to reclaim their strength and live fulfilling, healthy lives.
My goal is to provide compassionate care that helps my clients thrive.
