There are moments in our lives when we struggle and face challenges and roadblocks. Child and Adolescent Therapy
Childhood and adolescence is an important time in an individual's life. It is during this time that they learn and develop a lot of what their adult personality may look like. During this transition there can be a lot of tension between youth and their caretakers. Problems that may arise are sexuality and gender struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral issues, academic issues, low self-esteem and social isolation. Our licensed psychotherapists are well equipped to assist in the prevention of problems or helping a young person process through their emotions and develop healthy and helpful coping skills.
Many relationships (monogamous and polyamorous) reach a point where they could use help navigating the struggles which have built up over time or due to a specific situation. These issues could be due to communication, infidelity, financial management, blended families, depression, anxiety, in-laws, family secrets, sexuality or gender issues, divorce or boundary setting. Our mental health clinicians can help you and the other member or members of your relationship resolve and even overcome the most difficult of situations.
Families are extremely unique and made up of individual systems and the overall family system. From our family unit we develop our communication skills, ability to give and receive love, coping skills, expectations and a myriad of other traits. Family problems can lead to future lasting effects. A few problems that may arise within a family are disconnection, anger, grief, substance abuse, divorce, blended families, chronic illness, behavioral issues, etc. Our licensed psychotherapists can help you and your family navigate through the many challenges that can arise amongst the multiple systems within.
