A Bit About Me

I specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as integral components of my work, particularly in my engagement with adjudicated youth, those on the journey of addiction recovery, and individuals grappling with intellectual disabilities. With a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College-Wilmington (Springfield, MA) and a bachelor's degree from West Virginia State University, my approach encompasses a collaborative and systemic philosophy. I am dedicated to training and educating both youth and adults, recognizing the profound impact economic and social challenges can have on learning and life experiences.

While my expertise extends across diverse areas, a significant emphasis in my practice lies in addressing the unique challenges faced by young men and exploring men's issues. Additionally, I have a passion for working with couples, leveraging my skills to navigate the complexities of relationships and enhance understanding and connection. However, I warmly welcome and am adept at working with clients aged 10 and older, women, and men, fostering an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment for everyone. Holding a Level I Certified Investigator for Conducting Serious Incidents Investigations in secure and non-secure facilities, along with a Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Train the Trainer Mastering the Art of Facilitation-Essential Lifestyle Planning certification, I am committed to providing comprehensive and empathetic support on the journey to mental health and well-being.
