Jimmie K. Memminger has spent over twenty years in varying leadership capacities in Mental/Behavioral Health in corrections as well as secure and non-secure care facilities. He has spent his career advocating against the injustices and inequalities plaguing adjudicated young men. Jimmie is equally dedicated to strengthening young men and men to be the best fathers they can be.
My Story
He specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in his work with adjudicated youth, those in addiction recovery, and individuals with intellectual disabilities. Jimmie trains and educates youth and adults from a philosophy encompassing a collaborative and systemic approach that takes into consideration the economic and social challenges individuals face that may inadvertently impact their learning and life experiences. Jimmie holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College-Wilmington (Springfield, MA), a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia State University, a Level I Certified Investigator for Conducting Serious Incidents Investigations in secure and non-secure facilities, and a Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Train the Trainer Mastering the Art of Facilitation-Essential Life Style Planning certification.
